    Greetings from Italy

The automatic 4.6 3v Mustangs work well. It's only when you get above 450rwhp that it gets iffy. As a stock setup it's fantastic imo.

    Idle won't go below 900

Cat delete messes with the LTFT. Unless the ratio from O2 1 to secondary O2 is changed you will have issues. Unfortunately custom tune places will turn the MIL? codes off to get around a bad tune. My apologies for not remembering the proper nomenclature. It is something I've dealt with in...

2014 Idle Hunting High Fuel Trim

Air that hasn't been metered is where I would start. Vacuum leak or something with the air intake. An aftermarket cai could be the culprit as could a dirty maf which would replicate unmetered air to the computer. You already cleaned the maf and basically have covered all the bases. Maybe...

SCT Support tells me Advantage won't work with McAfee

So an update to this is that SCT couldn't figure the problem out. It had something to do with an OS computer upgrade. I finally got it back with a new computer and a new download of the SCT software. The problem started when I installed a ssd, something didn't get transferred from the old...

Dies while driving, slow or freeway speeds

I don't know of a code. It's old school from the time of carburetors on a day with temperature extremes. We would open the gas cap and hear the vacuum being displaced and all was well. I've experienced it once with a FI motor. It's just a thought that might help.

Best used 4.6L 3V to buy?

Aluminum block is preferred over the iron. It will hold more hp and is lighter. Stay away from any stroker unless it's using a Ford crank, the power difference is minimal and the stock Ford steel crankshaft is very strong. I've built several 4.6 and Big Bore Boss modular motors and can tell...

Dies while driving, slow or freeway speeds

That sounds exactly like vapor lock. By any chance do you have an aftermarket fuel cap?

    4.6L Whipple Question

Yes. Any vacuum line will also be subjected to positive pressure (boost). Something to keep in mind is that you will only see boost under hard acceleration. You probably already know that but sometimes people don't (myself included when I first put a Whipple on my motor).

2006 Mustang GT when car is cold or hot idling it holds 50 lb of oil pressure when you give it a little throttle it will drop 4 lb and then 65

It's possible that the pressure relief valve in your georotor oil pump is relieving pressure. I would ask if you use the specified oil weight? Using a higher viscosity oil will/can result in the pressure relief valve opening and starving your motor of oil for a brief period of time. It's my...

Lets discuss members selling their Mustangs guys ...

I'd say keep the car until you don't want a replacement when it goes away. Then you will be done.

SCT Support tells me Advantage won't work with McAfee

The fact that it worked for many years with McAfee is what caused my doubts. The root issue is that I did a ssd drive swap about 1.5 years ago. Ever since then I would have to .exe from program files because a few hidden SCT files wouldn't copy over. The easy fix would be to uninstall...

SCT Support tells me Advantage won't work with McAfee

So, I've been having issues with Advantage 3 tuning software for awhile. Did a remote hookup with SCT and when they couldn't figure it out they told me McAfee doesn't work with Advantage. I did tell the tech that it only became a problem recently after 9 years of success with both programs...

    Your thoughts on a tune

Seat of the pants feel is usually nothing more than the commanded torque table. Changing the accelerator pedal feel by commanding more torque with less pedal will make the car feel faster but it won't make it any faster. It mostly makes the car harder to deal with in slippery conditions. I'm...
