FleabayWhere did you get an IDS clone?
The issue with those is the cloned VCM II module. Will not flash earlier cars that need the +18v to put the module into programming mode. Only works with the coyote pcm and epas if those need a flash.

I got HP tuners recently and just for S and G, I tried to read the "Unleashed" tune on my Fusion, and the VMP tune on the Stang (both SCT tunes). Fusion worked, Stang didn't.
interesting. Were you able to try and read the tune on the stang before burning two credits? Or do I have to pay $100 to find out I can’t do it…
sounds like VMP locked the stang tune. I of course have no clue if my tune is locked. I know who did it, Evolution Performance in Pennsylvania, called them and what a bunch of rude ass people like WOW.
As far as I know, reading a tune, no credits needed. When you try to flash it, that's when you need credits.
well now it’s worth a shot there. Flagship one is “checking” after supplying the VIN, part number and strategy code…. I figured this would be a cake walk but wow what an interesting time lol
Assuming still they are flashing YOUR pcm. The VIN and TearTag code, and AsBuilt file is all they need. The AsBuilt file has all the vehicle options, cruise, tire size, axle ratio, etc. Asbuilt can be downloaded from Ford, by entering your VIN. The TearTag is on the sticker on the PCM. Does not require a lot of "checking". lol
AsBuilt and firmware file downloads are anonymous, no account needed.
Yea, I learned a lot from the Coyote swap. lmao
