hey guys and gals, this is gonna be my build thread and should come heavy with pics along the way. A little history on the car, i bought it years ago and she started her life as a v6 base model stang, I got the base model as that was what i could afford being young with a new family.
here she is the day i got her, and i told my wife that it would stay this way and i would not get the mod bug on this one, the real question is was i lying to her or my self or both????
and then of course i found a website called cervinis. and we all know what happens, i feel in love with the elanor kit. Well i got lucky and found a great deal on a hood, 250 canadian. how was i to pass that up. So i bought it and said to my wife was to good to say no but alas hun this will be the only thing i do to her
Well as time went on the itch got stronger and befor you know it a stock pile of parts began to form, and the transformation started and we went from that to this for the summer
and then a bad miss hap, learned why hood pins are required on these cars, yes i caught a heavy wind and it ripped the latch off on the highway
and this is the only damage to the hood wich was an easy fix, it is one hella tuff hood
good as new with some paint of course, however the bad luck didnt stop there, i hit a piece of debris on the highway and destroyed my elanor front bumper (sorry no pics) but i bought a replacement and it was time for a change up and the car went green
And we were back up and going, well my bad luck didnt end there . as i was getting near the end of the season i hit a racoon with it, and he did some damage to the front and side skirt and i decided to put the car inot storage, and deal with it later, well to add insult to injury mice got into it and god dang, the smell was like nothing i have ever smelt and no getting it out i tried every thing, they were in the head liner every where. so i was at a cross road, either restor it or scrap it and sell off the pieces. well as you can see i have built this car my self and somewhat have an attachment so scrapping it would have been a hard choice, so i was looking for a donor for the interior, well i found a v8 car and thought why not do the swap. well while into it i thought why not strip it and do a full resto, amazing how it works, so i stripped it and am in the middle of the build. i am collecting parts and stock piling for the build, i thought well im this far might as well put a blower on it, decided to go the department of boost route (thanks kurt for the info and help with this decision) My wife dont know about the boosted route lol, so much for stock uh well on with the pics, the black car is the donor, hit heavy in the back but has everything i need, it is a 2007 California special with 140k on it (km for you American folk so around 80 mile), it has some goodies, 3" cat delete exhaust, bbk short throw shifter, stage 2 clutch, strut brace, intake and a few other things, it is a great car for the swap. and the rest are the progress of the swap along the way. and you can see the damage on the kit well on to the pics, sorry for the rambling.
and now on to the strip her down part, you can see the damage from the coon and the mice
