Sounds like sending unit. You only have one pump, but two holes. The drivers side access cover is the pump, passenger side access cover is the sending unit. They are separate so you can just replace the sending unit.
Ronin, I know of an NOS Shelby Gt grill assembly for sale on the SAI group but it’s not cheap. Other option is like you said, basic black grill assembly from AM. Could mount your Pony emblem to it…
FIXED. It was leaky freaking injectors. Tossed em in and it starts at any temp after any amount of driving. Freaking finally.
I did also replace the evap line and blew out the canister (unrelated) but will fill up the tank and see if THAT issue is fixed.
Trying to keep this updated. Issues persist, starts and runs great after it’s sat a day. If I leave it for an hour or less it’s questionable and embarrassing. Most recently it shuttered and cranked for 5-6 seconds and fired off, and hesitated on idle.

I still think some sort of fuel delivery. When it catches and starts it hesitates with really low RPM and settles out. Starved for fuel or can’t vent? I figured a CPS would trip a code for sure
Flicked the key to Run, pump of course primed. 44 PSI on my X4. Left it along for one hour and it slowly bled down to 35.5PSI. That’s fine isn’t it? I read somewhere if it holds within 5 PSI for 5 minutes it’s fine

You sure? I appreciate it. We worked on it, and body shop said the cost to fix would outweigh another one and advised a second hood.
P.S. the Lisle spark plug tool was a savior. 3 broke. I mailed it back before Xmas, hope you got it OK.
Back to looking for another 05-09 hood in black. One I bought ended up being bent which sucks. I know I can paint one but would prefer the aged paint to match my car. Located in AL/GA area. Prefer no hood scoop / holes but will consider all.
