My Rupes polisher from 2016 stopped working, I opened the housing and to my surprise a small condensator, type cheap China, was blown. The whole electronic was drowned in resin, thank you Rupes. After searching for parts, I found a replacing module for 79€, so I decided to change the condensator myself. 1000 microF 10V
I removed the condensator, dug out everything down to the board and could solder two wires to the connections. I used a 1000 microF 50V which I had in my spare part box.
Working again!
PS: The Rupes delivers great results and is very easy to use, especially for hobby users, but far too expensive to find out that they use cheap parts. Very disappointing.
