Check all of your coolant lines inside and out as well, if Temps got over 3/4 on the gauge you could have the same problem as I've been tracking down.

So I think I found the culprit. The outside was just fine, but the inside was a different story.

I would go with a mid length header, high flow cat, and a pair of Flowmaster super44 mufflers. It will keep the deep growl while being nicer to the neighbors.
