Extremely Odd Electrical Issues - Car is Completely Dead

Headlights won't come on but I'll do the test with the switch on and report back. The battery came out of a running/starting vehicle so the assumption was it's good. I'd feel pretty dumb if it's a battery issue but I'd also be relieved as I've not done a load test on the battery, just voltage...

Extremely Odd Electrical Issues - Car is Completely Dead

The car hasn't seen rain in 4 years and hasn't been washed in a year (stored indoors). Anything is possible though so I'll look into it. Thanks.

Extremely Odd Electrical Issues - Car is Completely Dead

This is going to be a long one as it's got a lot of layers and I don't want to leave out any detail that may turn out to be important. 2006 Mustang GT, low boost single turbo setup, just dyno'd 500hp a few months ago. 40k miles on the car. This started when I forgot to put my battery tender...

Door lock buttons don't work, key fob lock/unlock works fine?

Sorry, fixed the problem and forgot to come back here and update. Yes, bought it used. So after my last post above I got out all the tools and such to diagnose the problem, pulled the door panels, and immediately found the issue. As you suspected, the switches weren't plugged in. No idea why...

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

No wires run close to pulleys. I'm running a PMAS MAF in blow thru configuration. Dual GT Supercar pumps, 5/8" pushlok hose, 42lb injectors, turbo, stock longblock, delete plates. It's still running fine/back to normal.

Door lock buttons don't work, key fob lock/unlock works fine?

Thanks for the info. It's certainly possible that both switches failed, just seemed unlikely. Looks like the switch plates can be removed without removing the door panel so I'll dig in and see what I can figure out. Looks like a diagram for the locks is here but I'm not all that great and...

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

Engine temp appears accurate in the datalogs. So here is a weird development. I pulled the MAF to see if it was dirty (not a spec of dirt or oil on it, looked brand new). So I pulled the inlet pipe to do a boost leak test (no leaks and the throttle body was super clean as well, no oil residue...

Door lock buttons don't work, key fob lock/unlock works fine?

Ever since I've owned my Mustang, the interior door lock/unlock switches don't work (nothing happens when you use them). The key fob has always worked perfectly and the window switches work perfectly. If it was one side only I'd think it was just unplugged or something but neither side works...

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

I don't know. Lito doesn't report any "weird" readings from the o2 sensors (and it seems to do it even in open loop when they are ignored) so I doubt it but anything is possible at this point. I did a boost leak test over the weekend and didn't find any leaks. It's a blow-thru MAF so I only...

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

Started it today on a cold start and it ran the same as it did last week so the FRPS swap changed nothing. Going to have to pull the plugs and hope none of them are stuck..not looking forward to that!

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

Been datalogging and looking at ECT and IAT values and such so it's not the ECT. Fuel filter was last changed about 10k miles ago (car only has 40k miles on it).

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

Well, new FRPS installed and it initially ran no better. Unplugged the FRPS, fired it up and it ran bad for a few seconds so I revved it up a few times and it seemed to clean out and run better than it has in a week. It was lean at idle (18:1) and would go into a normal range when revving...

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

Is there any way to test the fuel rail pressure sensor? Lito replied back that the fuel pressure doesn't look normal. I'd like to be able to test it before spending $100 on a new sensor and finding out it's not the problem.

I didn't reload the old tune but Lito did create a new tune for me to try which was just the old tune modified to force closed loop after 5 seconds. Made no difference. Delete plates, yes.

Suddenly running super rich, no codes, starts great then dies after 5 seconds.

So my Mustang went from running great (Lito tune) to running super rich last weekend. Parked it in the garage running great, got in it the next day and it started, did the 5 second idle up and as it settled down to the ~1000 rpm idle it stumbled and died. Restarted it and same thing. Restarted...

    Wastegate?

That's not a wastegate, that's a boost limiter valve. It may do what you want to do with it (if you don't have to recirculate the flow back into the system) but it's not a wastegate.

    Wastegate?

They are intended to be installed on the exhaust side of the engine by design and have exhaust flowing through them, this means they will not be aluminum.

Trans Tailshaft Leaking, What's Required to Fix?

Do you need a special puller to remove the flange or what's the trick to making it only moderately difficult?

Trans Tailshaft Leaking, What's Required to Fix?

That does help, thanks. It appears they show using a large screwdriver for removal and a seal driver for installation. Hope that is all that's needed, I'd hate to get it torn down and find I don't have the correct tools.

Trans Tailshaft Leaking, What's Required to Fix?

As stated, the stock manual trans in my 06 GT is leaking out of the tailshaft. It makes a little 1.5" puddle under the car each day, not bad but annoys me that it's staining the floor. I need to adjust pinion angle so I figure I might as well fix the leak while the DS is out. So what's...
