So I just got an Assignment to Guam. Is there a drag strip there or what? How is the mustang scene?

I think your screwed. One of the guys here,

Yeah, and I remember him saying they had a drag strip but it was terribly prepped?

Well maybe I can spend my weekends building the car up.:naughty1: At least it will be warm enough to drive it year round.

Yup, I'm on Guam right now... There is a dargstrip and it is a lot of fun despite being comlpetely unprepped... It is a fairly new track so it isn't garbage, just unprepped... The timing system isn't the best either... Be prepared to race the local "race trucks" here... They are stripped down old body toyota pickups with a fairly built 4 banger... They are light as hell with slicks so they get a decent jump and like to say they "beat the V8"...lol... Thats only if you screw up a shift or launch usually... The DA here blows and high octane fuel is next to impossible to get... I suggest living on base as well... The local utilities gouge people for money and so do the local landlords... Plus there is a huge amount of theft and vandalism off base... Its not so much the locals as it the the outlying islanders that moved here and kids... Parts can be a bitch to get here as well... BBR and D'Agostino are the best I have dealt with to get parts here... The auto hobby shop has a couple of great guys that work there and if you get in good with em they usually won't ever charge you a cent... I hardly use it but they let me borrow some specialty tools from time to time... I do all of my work in my carport since I have all my tools here from my days as a Ford tech... Almost all houses on base have decent carports... The car/race scene here is pretty big and there is always tension between the locals and the military at the dragstrip... Its not bad but you know its there... I tend to get along with everyone but there are a few who feel threatened by military guys bringing a quick car up there...
I have been here for 4 years so if you wanna know anything just PM me... You can give me a yell and I can give ya a better run down on things over here... Also, whats your job and what squadron are you going to?
and herk is right... there are a shit ton of strip clubs and they are fairly raunchy too haha... I spent the night in Tumon one week...lol... several times
