The two speaker-looking things where the map lights are, on either side of the "PASS AIRBAG OFF" light? Those are the motion sensors.

I thought those were the SYNC mic's...
Sync Mics are typically in the rear view mirror. The other mic looking things near the map lights are the motion sensors. Been that way since 05. I've had mine go off with just the windows down and people walking by before as well.

There are two sensor-looking thingies in the rear-view mirror; the one on the left is the microphone for Sync, and the one on the right is the light sensor for the auto-dimming mirror.

I am planning on doing this to my 06 Saleen S281, of course i'd have to change the whole front end, but it would look awesome! Anyone know if the stucture has changed from 06 to '10-11 front end? Looks like the door has the same shape minus the small bodyline change that would be easy to blend to the new fender. Looks great btw!

Good info. Thanks for documenting this. Part numbers for headlight housing assemblies are: AR3Z-13008-E
AR3Z-13008-F

Also, if you wire-up (from the bottom side) and use sockets 26 and 27 in the underhood fuse box you wont need the relays.

Nice write up. I like retrofitted normal housings, but having the bulbs inboard of the markers....ehhhh....everytime I look at one with those lights, it looks like the car should be saying "DERP!"

Replaced stock headlights on 10/11 GT with GT500 HID headlights and retained low and high beams using stock switch on steering column.

1. Removed front bumper cover
2. Replaced stock headlights GT500 HID, 3 bolts hold them in place
3. Reinstalled front bumper cover
4. Installed one relay next to the fuse box to power the HID ballast with battery 12 volts
5. Cut out stock driver and passenger headlight 3 wire pigtail and replaced with new 4 wire pigtail
6. 1st wired low beam on new pigtail to new wire installed and ran across to passenger side new pigtail low beam and passenger side stock low beam (blue wire)
7. 2nd wired stock ground on both sides to new pigtail ground
8. 3rd wired the power out from the relay installed in step 4 and ran that power to passenger side new pigtail ballast and ran a new wire across to the divers side new pigtail ballast connecting both sides together
9. 4th wired the stock high beam (brown wire) on the dirves side to new pigtail high beam
10. 5th Installed a second relay and attached to bottom forward side on the fuse box to power the low beams when you select high beams
11. 6th wired the stock high beam (yellow wire) to the stock high beam on the new pigtail and also connected that (yellow wire) to the second relay to trigger it to power the low beams when you select high beams, yes you will put power from the second relay to the low beam stock (blue wire) and its being triggered by the stock high beam (yellow wire) on the passenger side.
12. I cleaned up all wires with electrical tape for a stock look
13. in step 6 and 8 i ran the new wires along the harness in front of radiator

The green wires are from the new pigtails all 4 wires are green.

Parts need are GT500 HID complete headlight assmeblys, two new 4 wire pigtails from FORD for the new HID headlights (I do have pigtail P/N from FORD), tow relays, wire and electrical tape black or what ever color you prefer

I'm confused. The GT500 HIDs are the same as the GT HIDs right?
