Introducing "Project 6GR"...By Enthusiasts...4 Enthusiasts

Good evening Mustang6G members. We are excited to share with our latest project for the S550 Mustang community. We are respectfully calling it "Project 6GR". This project was born and raised by enthusiasts with one goal in mind..Build the ultimate wheel setup which will provide weight savings, increased strength, and let's not forget making it look badass =).

The idea behind "Project 6GR" was to take over a year of experience in custom tailoring well over 500 Mustang fitments and working with a wide range of owners who all had their own specific wheel setups in mind. Through working very closely with fellow enthusiasts, we have listened and we are now responding with the "perfect setup". The fitment will run 20x10 front with 35mm offset and 20x11 with 50mm. This setup will clear all brake applications including the GT Performance Package (GTPP). We will also bring out 19" fitment in 19x10 front with 35 mm offset and 19x11 with 50 mm rear.

Project 6GR takes homage from one of the most beautiful automotive masterpieces to ever hit the streets. Seven bold and prominent spokes provide a true american muscle feel to this simple yet masculine design.

The mission behind Project 6GR is simple..Increase Performance..Decrease Mass..and look Badass while doing it.

Since we love to be the voice of the enthusiasts. We would love to get your thoughts on one final detail of the wheels, which is the finish. We currently have three options in mind, Gloss Black, Matte Black, and Flat Graphite. We have setup a poll at the top so that we can get your feedback and opinions.

What color options are there for these?

And any chance of other offsets?
I ask because my 20x10 with 40mm and a 305/35 tire in the back puts the tire outside the fender and it hits over bumps. Had to lift the back of the car to temporarily cure it.

So a 1" wider wheel with only 10mm more offset in my case won't tuck that tire in any more, if anything it will be further out by another 3mm

I think they are anticipating people putting 275/35/20 or 285/35/20s on these. those will fit fine

Yeah, I'm sure they will, but I'm not going from 305 DR's to 285 street tires.

Hey

Colors are Satin Black, Satin Graphite and Gloss Black

These are the only offsets and I havent had any rubbing issues on the fitment what so ever.

Nope we do a 10/11 combo with 275/315 tires without issues.

Wish there were lighter colors available.
I'm getting sick of the all-dark look my car has.

And that must be on stock suspension ... when I had the Steeda Sport springs on the back of the car with these 20x10 40mm-offset rims, the rear fender contacting the 305/35/20 tires was a very annoying and common thing.
That's why, like I said above I had to remove those springs and lift the back of the car to temporarily solve the problem.
I have pictures of how the car sat and the contact marks on the tires.

And you say you guys run a 315 tire with no rubbing.
You can see why I might have a hard time believing that on a lowered car, right?

Which 315's? Looking at the Pilot Sport CUp 2's they were just a wee bit too big on the S197.

What size tires were on Al's I am thinking of grabbing the 305 R888's and putting them on there.

Apologies on the late response, we have used up a 285/35/20 front and 315/30/20 out back with the Toyo R888 tires.

Good afternoon fellow enthusiasts, hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far.
