I had a long weekend of breaking parts at the track this weekend at NMRA Bowling Green World Finals.

First pass off the trailer - heard a very loud snap right on the launch. I snapped the ears right off the diff housing, on the front side.

What kind of power is it making? Must be leaving pretty hard.

Well I'm glad I'M not the one that found that out.

Bravo for research, I would be pitching a total fit if that was my car.

I am not sure.

It did cut a 1.40 sixty on the pass that destroyed the diff.

It traps 145-146 range at 3850lbs.

So it makes some power.

Auto, stock converter, stock trans, 3.15 gear.

This is what happens when you abandon our axle brace, Kelly.

What do you want to bet Kelly is already hard at the drawing board designing a steel wrap around support bracket to reinforce those cast iron mounting tabs?

Ummmmmm.....

Are you tapped into my phone? I've been texting my product design engineer for the past hour brainstorming a brace to make up before this weekends race.

Lol...

if you have been doing anything but brainstorming a brace for that since you broke it, your doing it wrong.

how long until someone CNC machines a billet diff housing and over-engineer's the shit out of it? :p

Be sure to CC your buddies at UPR so that they can release their Chinese version for $10 cheaper within 4 weeks.

Kelly, you should tweet the housing pics and details to @FordPerformance (attn Dave Pericak, the 2015 mustang chief engineer). They may be interested in getting it back to study it.

Can't you just run one of the cast iron housings? Seems like that would be the easiest solution.
