Went bracket racing this weekend and had some fun with my 2005 GT.

Ran both the box and no-box classes at the same time all 3 days. (6 races total)

I had the 2nd slowest car in the Bracket 1 delay box class and raced a few dragsters.
That was the first time I have ever ran the box class.
It was an interesting experience racing against 4 and 5 second machines.
Went 4 rds. Friday, 3 rds. Sat. and 2 rds. Sunday in the box class ( no buybacks )

Didn't win a single round in the no-box class :(

Got my new personal best in the 1/8th mile out of the 05 GT

N/A
Stock 05 engine with only a CAI and short belt
Stock rear 3.31 gears
Stock 5A with stock convertor
Stock manifolds with factory cats ( tailpipe delete)
27 inch tall Hoosier QT pro DOT ( no burnouts needed)
Weighed 3570 lbs with me in it

Tune by Lito...shifts @ 6000 every time. Thanks Lito !

8.24 @ 85.87 mph with a 1.89 60 ft.

The air was great Sat. morning and the ol' 3V responded

Car is moving out considering it's basically a stock car. :waytogo:

Thanks.
Yeah, I am hoping for a 12 second time slip later this month.
I really want one of those bad before I re-configure the car this winter.

Awesome work, glad you are enjoying your car!

It is definitely a fun car to bracket race now that you fixed that twitchy throttle deal. Thanks !
