Hey guys,

I am new here and im looking for some advise. I did try a quick search and was not able to find any pictures.

I see that a few of you guys have relocated your shocks for diff shortening or wheel fitment. Can you guys provide pics ?

Im shortening the diff in my 11 GT to fit a 15x12 6" bs. The shocks in their factory location are in the way.

Any advise is appreciated.

RIP - You will be missed
Is it the shocks or the brackets that partly support the bump stop pads but mainly provide tie-down points for transport?

The brackets can be cut off (leaving the bumpstop pads themselves) without compromising drivability. Shock boots can be trimmed.

What size tires are you running back there and what is their advertised section width?

If it matters, my "track tires" measure about 12.1" wide across the sidewalls on 11" wide wheels that have well over 7.5" backspacing. I amputated the brackets, trimmed the shock boots, done.

315s also fit without touching any metal. Easy. Not even hella flush. I did trim inner liner a little.
