Its already in here but:
SB = short block (no heads)
LB = long block (everything except the front dress and transmission)

AA / AB heads - The 'AA' 3V heads (approx pre-'08) use the notorious barrel-style sparkplugs. The 'AB' heads are the new style all-thread design.

How to tell what a resistor is

A resistor usually has 4 colored stripes on them. The first 3 tell you the value of the resistor and the last one tells you the tolerance.

There is an old mneomic we used to remember the colors. Sorry ladies, but this is how I learned it:

Bad boys rape our young girls, but Violet gives willingly!

Bad---------Black-------0
Boys--------Brown------1
Rape--------Red--------2
Our---------Orange-----3
Young------Yellow------4
Girls--------Green-------5
But---------Blue--------6
Violet-------Violet------7
Gives-------Gray--------8
Willingly-----White------9

The first two stripes tell you the first part of the value.

The 3rd stripe is the power of 10 multiplier.

For example 1000 ohms is 10 x 10³ = Brown Black Red

220K ohms would be 22 x 10^4 = Red Red Yellow

1M ohm = 10 x 10^5 = Brown Black Green

47K ohms = 47 x 10³ = Yellow Violet Orange

The last band is the ±% tolerance of the resistor:

Gold = 5%
Silver = 10%

No band--who knows!

HTH
