Yep, a chunk of rod about an inch and a half long.

Just got the car up and running yesterday, 111k on a junkyard Zetec, runs like a top and it's back to making 9psi just like it's supposed to.

Spotted on the corral. Ouch!

408w, mid 80s block, scat 4340 crank and rods, srp pistons, Vic jr heads, weiand stealth intake, 850 mighty demon, around 450 hp. Crank broke right at the fillet of the rear journal.

Piston picture of my first built engine after a valve head snapped off. I learned the hard way not to use stainless steel valves on a boosted engine.

:jawdrop: Ouchie! Puts my little fender-bender into perspective. At least I'm getting my car back in a month (courtesy of the dufus' insurance company).

I wish still had the piston from when I rebuilt the 289 in my '65 coupe. You could stick a dime in the grooves on the skirt, the top ring was in ~20 pieces.
