That center unit looked like aluminum. I thought the 5.0 cars got an iron center.

I'm sure he will try and claim a warranty repair lol.

Since Ford is equipping these cars with stuff like line lock, it stands to reason that they expect mustang owners to do stuff like this. It is a Mustang, after all. I don't think a warranty claim would be unreasonable. I would take down the video first, though.

I would not even hesitate to make a warranty claim.

As StkJock will remind us, it's the traction that breaks things.

I can't see the vid at work, what did he have for tires? I don't recall seeing a drag setup.

I'd put in a claim if I hadn't opened up the differential for any other reason and it didn't happen at the racetrack. At least when mine blew, the pieces stayed in the housing.

It looks like he had some fat Continental street tires. I can't tell from the video which model tire, though.
