You know, I've always wondered what it would take to complete a motor swap...

I wish I hadn't indulged that curiosity.

This is a massive job, but it was a necessity. Seeing as my iron block cracked after my gasket blew.
Especially, when I'm doing it by myself or with my father.
Like a dysfunctional Marvel team-up, my father and I began the arduous task of removing the engine.

I have to get this done before I head off to SEMA. An impossible job for one person to complete, but I'm optimistic!

Keep going, it isn't impossible. I did mine over a weekend all by myself. The little tricks are on Mike's swap page on mustangcollective.com

I hope that you got a 2005 PCM computer and harness (some 2006 will work depending on what month your car was built). Either way, you will not be able to start it if the PATS security doesn't recognize your keys. Some do, some don't (both of mine did not). But never fear, the Ford dealer and pro locksmiths can enter into your PCM computer.

It is very, very easy. The engine you have looks super clean. Where did you get that and mileage???

I did! I even got the gauge cluster and gas pedal (just in case to help with PATS).

I bought it off a side impact car from eBay (not the wisest choice, on my part.)

Currently, It has roughly 55,000 miles on it. It came with everything except transmission housing bolts, hoses, full exhaust and power steering pulley. I had already bought a driveshaft, CAI, radiator, and front springs.

You only need the gauge cluster if it was a 2010+ car. Your pedal and gauge cluster will work fine. I wouldn't change the cluster, since your mileage is registered every year with your state and on the title (no point messing that up). The only thing that will put the keys in the PCM is a 5 minute/$50 job at the dealer. If you have a friend who is a mechanic, they can do it for you...

Crash engine is OK, as long as you look at every square inch for impact damage. I hope it all works out for you.
