Has anyone ever been able to keep there factory hood liner after Installing a Saleen Super Shaker? The hood is ugly as hell and I don't think paint will make it more attractive. Thought about dropping motor but that raises another problem and I had more than enough of those during this build. Touch One Thing and it makes five more problems. Wanted to keep my cdc existing hole and flange for its clean look.

I have multiple questions but this one first. Thoughts would be great.

I still have the liner on. I did plane the poly mounts down a bit after a few years. Made the hood easier to close.

My top plastic trim ring is smaller then well more rounded in the back corners then the one in my kit from brenspeed. After removing my existing bottom and top existing cdc trim rings/liner I was able to close the hood but it was tight. I don't see why a 1/2 lower motor mount wont work. There is a gap in the back where you can see the snorkle almost like the rear close out on the shaker was cut to far up. I haven't seen a shaker installed with the hood closed. Between the hood conundrum and the 13/14 heat exchanger upgrade and power steering hard lines/ reservoir needing to be move. Not sure what to do with the hard lines. They won't fit in between the heat exchanger and the front a/c cooler. Not sure if they can be moved to the bottom side of a/c by just altering brackets one I flip everything to passenger side. I am planning run my pump for the heat exchanger opposite for what DOB shows. For now anyway. From what I read it doesn't seem like it will hurt anything

I still have the liner also.

These pictures are very old - maybe 6 or 7 years.

You can move the lines with that he. Place them underneath. Reservoir can stay too. What pump are you using?

For now I am using the Bosch pump. I will upgrade it this winter with some other things.

I found these pic's in my many searches. Looks like you removed the bottom trim ring. Looks good.

Here what mine looks like. Last photo is of the trim that came with the kit. I was told by a guy in Detroit that some of the shaker parts came from cdc lid, trim ring (they modified it) and something else.

I installed everything that came with the shaker kit. I already had the Salerno blower. Nothing was removed after the install. Here are more recent pics
