Getting close to finished with my covered patio. After that, just gonna lift and repour my bases for the foundation and put a little deck to get rid of the decline from the back door and its done. Not bad for some bs lol

- Cut up and installed couple small cement-board pieces in the bathroom above the tub.
- Spent most of the day following the tracking down / capturing of the 2nd/last Boston Marathon bombing suspect
- Took some time to paint the Mustang's strut tower brace :)

Today I continued installing the new cement boards above the bath tub. I ended up replacing the thin panel above the left wall since the new panel is taller, fits behind the ceiling panel and makes a much smaller gap up there:

Threw away the installation instructions to the rough-in valve by mistake, and now I'm left wondering if the orange plastic piece is supposed to go the way I have it, hope some of you guys know and will share your knowledge :)
This is the way I have it now:

Bought some tile for the kitchen. It will be awhile before it goes down since we still have to pick out cabinets and have them made

As of a few minutes ago, this is what I got done in the bathroom ... I had to cut the top pipe, solder-in a female coupler for the new shower spout, and then I installed the last of the cement backer board, on that wall.

I was planning on installing a cubby into the wall on the left, I'm not so sure about that anymore ...

Plumbing all done:

Backer board all installed:

Nothing inside the house but I completely mulched around all my bushes/shrubs and planted two pear trees out in the front yard. Look forward to watching those grow.

Installing about 200 ft of fence to enclose my back yard with a 6ft privacy fence. Dug 31 post holes, 25 we did with an auger in about 3 hrs total, the other 8 were too damn rocky for the auger so we had to dig by hand with a spud bar and post hole diggers. Took a total of about 5 hrs... And damn am I worn out from busting up all the rocks. Good news is all the holes are dug and the posts are ready to be cemented in place

Just picked up 14 sheets of drywall to redo the main bedroom. Ill post some pics of before and after. It has wallpaper on it right now and I don't feel like tearing it off and skim coating it all lol

Today I applied board seam tape and then joint compound onto the backer boards in the bathroom.
Once it's dry, I'll do some sanding then cover everything up with Redgard waterproofing membrane.
Then I gotta get the tile, and I think today I found what I'm gonna use :)

Got 2 walls drywalled before I quit. Here's a back story as to why the before pics have primer and joint compound on the walls. I told the fiancé we'd be better off to redo everything instead of primer and patch the gaps(whoever did it last time put up some kind of inch trim where the drywall met instead of taping it). So she primed it and I taped and compounded it. Well you can still feel the grooves of the wallpaper which I hate.

^ Looking good, I hate hanging drywall and finishing it. You're braver than I am

I found a new found respect for the guys that install hardwood floors. This stuff is a pain. Been going since 7:30 and half way done.

Installed a water heater timer and programmable wifi thermostat. As if my power bill wasn't cheap enough this should really do the trick.
