battery cable question.

i want to lengthen my pos battery cable in my DOB build.
i have read that on one end of the cable has built in fuseable link.
is this accurate or just rumor?
if they do what end are they located? i know there is a blue colored section in the middle of the cable, is this the safety area?

Yes the covered section is the fusible link. I made a whole new cable with thicker gauging and replaced stock entirely
