^^ Thanks, I ended up moving the ECU and fuse box this weekend, which is 95% of what I wanted to do anyway, If and when I do the under the intake stuff it will be after the motor is back in. After reading this thread 100 times I finally got up enough nerve to do it lol. Here's how it looks now, I know it's not perfect but it's a million times better than it was!

Excellent start Kyle, looks great!

Starting on the GT500 today. I dont think I'm going to be able to move the fuse box since it doesn't have separate wiring connections like the 05-09 GTs.

Well I lenthened the headlight harness tonight. Very time consuming. Just take your time and make sure all the connections are tight. I soldered all of the connections with shrink tube except the 14 gauge ones, there were a little thick to twist. I ended up using butt splices with shrink tubing built in on those 3.

Here's the finished pic. I extended them all around 3 feet so they would make it into the passenger floorboard.

Hey i have a big question would a wiring harness off a 2005 4.0 work with a 2006 4.6

Bump...! Sold the White Shelby before I committed to the wire tuck, but now I'm on my second Shelby and am fully committed this go around.

Probably won't do the fuse box since it'll require just about every wire to be cut, but I'm only 2 hours in so who knows at this point lol.

Just had a look through this thread. I am installing a KB 2.6 on my '05 GT and have planned on doing a tuck and really cleaning up the engine bay while I am in there. I have a question. The only reasonable way that I can see to get the fuse box moved is to completely cut it out and splice it back in at the new location. Is this best practice or am I missing something?

Yes that sounds right, it's been a couple years since I did mine but IIRC you can unwrap and re-route one of the harnesses with just a couple extensions (injector harness?), and there's only a couple wires to extend in another (headlight harness?), but you pretty much need to extend the main harnesses to the new location.

Thank you. I am moving the fuse box into the cabin and ecm to the fender like so many others.

Almost ready to solder. Got another wiring harness for free so I am looking at how to use that in this project as needed. Last picture is the product of some light compounding by hand using a Meguairs compound. Looks like I will be doing the entire bay, between the tuck and installing the KB.

Can anyone chime in on what they did for the power cable for the fuse box? As far as extending it into the dash for the new location.

In the process of doing a tuck on my '05, plus painting engine bay and upgrading to 8 rib belt for D.O.B. I have a power block in the engine bay since the battery is in the trunk. You could relocate the battery and go that route or replace the cable with a longer one, to be honest I don't really recall how the stock wiring was on these cars.

Do you remember off hand the wire size?

I have a 0 gauge wire from battery to block and either 4 or 2 gauge for the fuse box, sounds like you are placing everything in the same place that I will be. Will you be running all the wires back out through the passenger firewall opening?
