Does anyone know what the torque is supposed to be for the plug that holds the spring inside the oil pump housing? I searched but had no luck finding it..

Interested in this subject also and it's not listed in the manual. A while back I installed the 13/14 GT500 oil pump and swapped in the OEM 3V pressure spring. I torqued the plug to 18 ft/lbs, and couldn't get it any tighter.

Would it be a good idea at some point to drop the oil pan, pull the plug, and reinstall with blue loctite to make sure it doesn't ever back out? I'll be doing an oil change this weekend and would be a good opportunity if so.

Melling specs 26-33 ft/lbs for their oil pump spring plug, which is the same oil pump housing as the Ford OEM.
