Hello, yesterday after refuelling i drove around town 20 miles and the check engine light appeared for first time since i bought the car.
The car has 30k and everything works perfect.
I read the manual and it says bad gas can do this.
Anybody experienced this before because of gas ?
And if this is the problem the light will go off by itself ?
Also can nybody recommend a good code reader, wich can read the codes, delete it also , and maybe fix the little ones ?
Thank you much!

+1 I have the same one after trying others. I have been using it for about 4 years now and love it. Would highly recommend the blue driver.

Code could really be anything, I would recommend the reader, you can read, clear, diagnose, look up common fixes and much more with it.

You have to get the code read to pin point the problem. Auto zone can do it for free. If you plan on modifying a car just get an sct or a diablosport

Try loosening and re tightening the gas cap, then give it a few a few days and key cycles

^^^Yep^^^

Could be loose cap and/or bad seal on it so might need replacement. This happened to my 06 Chevy Colorado...simple fix.

Got one as well based on Jeremy's recommendation. Good for data logging as well as long as you do it correctly.

used to happen all the time in my G37. Light usually went out after a few key cycles
