I have a 2011 with a 2010 build date. I want to do front control arms, but I know I'll have this issue and don't feel like dropping the coin for a BOSS rack.

Hi Guys,

I changed my standard control arms for BMR ones on my 2011 GT and the problem happen after 3 weeks after the instalation during a cruise at 60 mph.

Do you think the issue could disapear if I put new but standard control arms ?

As many people I don't want to spend close to 1500 € in a new steering rack.

Otherwise can you please confirm me the correct reference for standard control arms ? I saw MCF-2309/2310 and MCF2364/2365

Thank you for your answers

Anyone? Anyone reading this have this issue or nah?

I'm not taking the risk without being able to narrow down the date range for my sept 2011 build date, MY2012.

Have you guys been able to narrow down the high-risk/ low-risk date range by compiling customer issues/ reports? :helpme:

Swapping back to stock 2011-2014 front control arms should fix the issue.

2011 arms, numbers change up to MCF-2364 and MCF-2365. The 2309 and 2310 are for 2013/2014, should be interchangeable though. Also seeing MCF-2315 and 2316 for the 13-14 Shelby, they appear to be less $$. Better bushings maybe?

I bought 2364 & 2365 before buying The BMR but The ball joint size was 18 mm (and 2011 GT BJ size needs to be 19 mm and not less)

Maybe the seller have done a mistake but I need to be sure before buying another CA

Thank you again

We tried going back to original bushings and arms and it did not fix our issues. Nothing resolved it until we swapped steering racks, which is easier and cheaper today than it was back then.

It seems that steering rack is the same between 2011 models and Boss 302.

Is someone tried to install boss 302 rack programme set up in electronic box before changing the complete rack ?

You can't change the programming; you must swap the entire steering rack.

Yes. Both on used and unused racks. It was a failure.

I tried to order the M-3200 EPAS rack from two different companies and my order was cancelled both times. I was told it was discontinued. Is there a different part number for the boss 302 rack now?

Since the racing program for those cars is over, most of the Boss 302R/302S parts are no longer being produced. The front arms, Multimatic rear top arm, steering rack, early brake ECM, etc are all NLA.

For a car that still had the stock wiring I'd just use a 2013 steering rack.

If you wanted a new one, you should just be able to order one from a dealer parts counter, right?

EDIT:
I just checked; it's about a $1,200 part, $400 of which is a core charge.

Me too I bought this Epas on CJ Pony Parts and after 2 weeks I received an email to inform me this item is no longer available.

I bought it on summit Racing and I received an email today to inform me the shipment will be delay due to the non-receive item from the manufacture...

I'm loosing my Time and I'm fedup with this issue wich prevent me from driving on highway and I don't know what to do...!

Is there someone which change his 2011 steering rack for a 2013/2014 model ?
Does it work without modifications and does it solve the problem ?

Thank you for your help !

Thank you, I visited this website, they sell the boss steering rack but unfortunately (for me) it seems that they aren't be able to send toward France...

Does anybody know why they write for this item "off road only" if it's a standard boss steering rack ?

Because Boss 302S and 302R were serialized turn-key race cars, not the production Boss 302.
