I just reached out to Tremec and their response was as follows...

Hello James,

The S197 Magnum has not been released yet. We expect to have it available in the fourth quarter. The Magnum will require a different bell housing, cross member mount and a different slip yoke. Please review the attachment and contact us if you require further assistance.

Regards,

Rob

Guess I'll have to cross my fingers that my 3650 will hold up after I get the blower installed until either late this year or next year sometime.

Seems like we are always waiting for that next thing........I got the same response, Fall. Quick Time Bell will be the source for the SFI bell housings. Forgot to ask about the clutch set-up.

Pricing should be 2795.00 for the trans only.

I was asking about this last year and they didn't know when it would be out for the s197, I just went with a regular t56 for this reason.

I'm still hot and horny for this trans too and I've given up on a 6060 for this option. I've heard late summer but late summer may actually be after Christmas. Waiting game is shit but I'm sure it will be worth it.

What is the difference in between these TREMEC T56 Magnum and the 6060???

The tremec is a direct shifter and the 6060 is a linkage shifter just like the 3650.

See posts 19 and 20.

I too am heavily leaning towards the T56. I just hope my 3650 hangs in there till this thing finally hits the shelves.
