I'd been looking for an 05-09 for a daily for some time now. I finally found one back in May. I've slowly making progress. The goal is to have a clean and functional daily driver.

It's an 05 GT, auto, one owner, very early build, 10/04. It has leather, IUP, Shaker 1000, side airbags and the nifty roll the windows down with the keyfob feature.

And so it begins......

The night I picked it up

While we're in the cowl area might as well check out the cabin filter...

Seems legit!!!

Next I moved onto the side window moldings, these are prone to leak as well. I couldn't tell you why.......:omfg:
I replaced both sides.

Did a little clean up work.
Found the spare key behind the shaker 1000 trunk box and under the amp rack. No clue how that would of even gotten there.

Went to install the Kenwood DVD player and had to remove some an old garmin and it's awesome wiring. :whymewhyme:
Also, swapped the center stack with an 08 model.

The paint on the driver's side was pretty faded. Busted out the polisher. It'll do until it gets a repaint. The hood had tons of rock chips. I was able to source a very low mile black hood for a decent price. Problem solved!!

Thank you.
Yes, it's factory for real early 05 cars. Supposedly, there was a glitch early on and cell phones would cause the windows to roll down. So Ford decided to disable the feature going forward.

Thanks. That's what I originally thought too. Apparently, it was an option in 05, and I believe mad standard on the 07+ cars.
