I need to do this really badly! Started peeling about 3 months ago badly and I tried adhesive spray but only to watch it peel off again.. I'm having trouble getting the foam to come off. What's the best way to get it to come off?

I had problems with this too - like I said in my post I used a dish towel and some serious scrubbing power, it was by far the worst part of the whole process (as far as time consuming and energy exerted on the project).

Did you do it while still on the car or did you take the panel off to do it? How do you even take that panel off?

Did this to my doors again (3rd time) and it sagged again. Was pissed one day and just ripped the driver side completely off. Found these panels for sale so i plan on doing this to mine too. He had them stripped and painted.

i just got mine covered in red suede. it looks great. you have to rip off all the padding behind the vinyl and it looks much better!

I have redone mine 3 times now The heat is just killing it. I am thinking of the paint method but I would love to see a diy on that. My question is are you that are painting fiberglassing the door panel or what Mine appears to just be a cardboard or some pliable piece behind the leather. Hell at this point I would rather just had a good ole fashioned one piece door instead of the indentation.

pulled the old vinyl off and the carpet/foam backing board. i took it to an uphostery shop as i didn't want to ruin the suede (its $125 a yard, took one yard). they drilled out the plastic that holds the center plastic to the door panel to get to where it is tucked behind., measured, cut and covered, then put back together with self tapping screws to put the center plastic back on the panel.
