New project:

Decided to skip the single turbo and go ahead with a D.O.B. GT450 kit! From what I've read, the M122 gives better low/midrange increases than max upper rpm HP gains which should suit my wife's driving habits perfectly.

I'm still planning to turn that '98 GT into a SVT Lightning but purchasing our home took precedence. Then my wife informed me I couldn't buy anything until I installed the Department of Boost kit.

All I have left to buy are the small, consumable parts like hose clamps, AN fittings, electrical stuff, etc. She also wants the gauge pod above the center dash so I guess I'll install a Wideband and a boost gauge too.

I'm going to install some new fog lights to freshen her car up some. The diffusers fell off and are bouncing around in the housings.

For a good year and a half lol. Looking good!

Lol, it has been awhile since I've updated. In that time we installed 126200 Comp Cams, upgraded to an Exedy clutch and billet flywheel. Before that, I totaled my '98 GT daily driver, lost my enthusiasm and took about 6 months off of spinning wrenches.

Sorry about your car. Glad to see you finally started in on the project.

It was a bad morning, that's for sure. Everyone was ok and that's what was important.

The blower install has been both rewarding and annoying. The alternator hits the hood, the PCV on the driver's side hits the cold air intake and if I ever have to install a three gauge dash pod again I'm going to explode. Truthfully, the issues have been slight but the 'nickle and diming' is ever present.

Wow, from the looks of your SN-95, that must have been a pretty good impact. It looks like the radiator support is pushed back into the tires! Glad to hear that you are OK.

And good luck with the S197. I know what it's like to lose interest in turning wrenches. I have had parts for my car sitting in the garage for well over a year that I just don't feel like installing. LOL

I hear that. I have a complete car to pull the complete AC and interior out of to put into my other car and don't have the drive to get started.

Some jack ass ran a redlight going 65 mph and I hit her front tire. Another 3 seconds and she would've t-boned me.

I've progressed to road tuning but lost the engine drive belt. IAT's were between 118* and 136* with it being 85* outside with obscene humidity.

IAT's don't seem to bad. Are you tuning yourself or sending datalogs off to a tuner?

I'm running a GT500/C&R heat exchanger with dual fans, bought it from a member here actually.

Tuning with Lito

Is it that bad? I'm contemplating that setup for my car.

It's just a royal PITA.. Wife decided she may not like it so I may have one to sell sometime soon.

That's a heck of a build you have going in there! I've been looking more and more at the DOB kit also. Sorry to hear about your SN95. That looks like the was a really bad wreck. Glad everyone is ok, that's what's important. I can't wait to see a video of the car running with the supercharger.
