Brian, I think this is what Shaggy is referring to. Just a simple, deep cut bed edge. Most equipment rental yards have the machine that does this. They're simple to use and turn a mediocre job into a WOW job. It's just called a bed edger.

Bryan, I never really meant that crap either. Concrete curbing was what I was thinking, but Brian said he didn't want hardscape and what you posted looks good. I like grass having an edge, and not just growing everywhere.

Like this:

Bryan,

This the custom concrete curbing I had done this year.
It turned out really well and looks totally professional.

This an example of the plastic crap I did have for many-many-yrs.
Granted it looks really bad in these pictures as it does not have new mulch etc.
I was on hold waiting for the new changes to take place.

Bryan,

It is a major difference in the looks department for sure.
They (Landscape Company) ran all the gutter down-spouts underground with pop-ups.

Bonus, maintenance free for the most part now.

Bryan,

I 1st had a Samsung unit installed in the Home Theater.
It worked so well I then decided to have the Carrier unit installed in the garage.

You simply use the remote, set the temperature, touch automatic and your done.

They Heat & Cool and also remove the humidity.

Money well spent and they are Super Quiet when operating.

You will hear the fan if you jack up the fan speed to high !!!

But, like I said if you simply set the temperature and auto they will just do there thing.

Below are a few pics of the two units.

I also had these two Huge HVAC units installed at the same time.
They have a Seer rating of 21.

Terry?
You mow that little yard with an $11k mower?
LOL!!!

Chris,

Yes I sure do and it's fun doing it on the Scag buddy.

Oh, that $11K is a little short Pal on the cost of mine with it's accessories.

Terry,
Just messing with you, dude.
I run them sumbytches (commercial mowers) every day.
Not often you see someone with a mower like yours that doesn't do it for a living.

I run Scag & Exmark.
Redmax small equipment.

I have some buddies that do the Lawn-Care thing and they use the Exmark mowers.

A heck of a lot less than a Scag ...........

I decided to do the Scag (Turf Tiger) and a water cooled engine and spend the money 1-time.

I actually special ordered it so I could get exactly what I wanted after talking with the Scag Representative.

I've had it a number of years now and it still only has something over 500-Hrs.

When I was working at the car dealerships 6-days a week and putting in 12-hrs a day.
I also had 100-watt quarts-halogen lights installed on the Scag.
I mowed at night after getting off work.
Those light up like daylight.

A few pics of the Bad-Boy.

It stays inside the heated & AC garage so it stays brand-new.

I've love those types of mowers ever since I had to got on one for work one time. Its been years since I was on one, and I am looking to get a ride along(not sure if it will be that expensive one), but what about grass cleanup? Does it have an option for a bag/container to collect the clippings?

Yes, you can add-on a bagger.
Waste of time/money, though.
Clippings are chopped up pretty fine.

Buy it without the bagger, first.
See how that works for you.
If you still need a bagger, you can order it after the fact.

Tell you what really works well on these mowers...a mulching kit.
Turns your clippings into food.

Terry,
Not sure where you got your pricing info, but Exmark being a lot less expensive simply isn't true. Like I said, I have both brands. I prefer the Exmark because they hold up better. Better, more ergonomically designed, they've reduced maintenance to almost nothing...just an all-around better mower. The Scag is just as much a tank, but they're not better and definitely not more expensive.

A liquid cooled Exmark rider like your Scag is pushing $12k before taxes and without add-ons. A 52" Exmark walk behind is $8100, tax included...about what a Scag would cost.

I've been in this 20 years. Believe me, I know the pricing.

Glad to know you have a rider. If/when mine breaks down, I know where to go get one. LOL!

Shaggy,

I really like the Scag mower.
I had a bunch of different John Deer mowers over the years.
th

And I also had a few of the Scag Mowers before I finally settled on this Turf Tiger Model.

Sorry buddy I should have stated what I said with, (I was told) not 1st hand pricing information.

That's what happens when you take information from someone else.

I have never priced the Exmark mowers personally.

My Baddddddddddddddd

You might find this interesting,
I actually got the Scag recommendation from my John Deer salesman way back when.
I ask him what his personal opinion was of the best mower for years of service if money was not entered into his opinion ???
He said instantly, Scag if you don't mind the cost.
That was back years and years and years ago now ...........

LOL,
Terry

I use that Side-Blocking-Plate and the Mulching-Blades on mine for leaves.

Terry,
I think we can both agree...these commercial grade mowers aren't cheap by any means.

Little story...
I purchased a 21" Exmark push mower about 15 years ago. Still starts first cord pull. Still on original Kawasaki engine. I change oil maybe every 3 years when I think about it. I paid $1400 for it way back then. Best damn push mower money will buy.

Man that is one Bad-Ass push mower for sure 15-years and still going.
Reminds me of the old (Timex) watch commercials.
