Ford should put the Raptor engine/trans in a 2WD regular cab shortbox.

I’m not disagreeing with you but they did the tremor in previous body style and while not as powerful as current raptor it shouldn’t have been a slouch... don’t thibk they sold well at all. I sure don’t see them

Ford should at least offer the standard 3.5EB in a single cab short-bed configuration. I don't understand why manufacturers do that. With modern assembly line practices, you'd think everything would be modular and therefore all options available on one type of truck would be available on another type.

I don't think they were marketed well. Among other issues.

No one buys single cabs, and those who do are businesses who need a long bed anyway. I doubt they'd sell 50 SCSB 3.5EBs in a year. But at least offer it as an option for a buyer who wants to build their own truck.

If you go on Fords site you can only get the 3.3 V6, the 2.7EB or the 5.0 in a standard cab shortbox truck now.

Guy I was real good friends with in college had a '94 Lightning when they were brand new. His was red. Loved that truck. Then he bought a Kenne Bell for it. That was AWESOME.
