I received the following PM from brand-new member "Simin300".

Very suspicious, if you ask me. PM also sent to stkjock. Hyperlink removed.

for anyone who missed the "spammers" thread, this is the same deal, use the red triangle on the post or PM and report the message/post.

\/ use this icon on the post/PM to report any spam

I'd have done that except that the above icon isn't in the same place for a PM as it is for a post and I didn't see it.

Perhaps the spammer was counting on people not finding the direct link to reporting?

Any reason it couldn't be relocated to the same place as for posts?

yes, for PMs it's in the on the top right of the message and for posts it's on the lower left under the avatar of the poster

the locations are set by the software and we cannot alter that

Crap . . . obviously some software guy was so deeply involved in his work that he overlooked at least this use-ability glitch for the rest of us. Forest for the trees.

But thanks for the explanation.

Yeah, I got the same thing I think. It was an email notice that I had a new PM here. As I usually do I deleted the email notice and and logged on here to read it, only to discovered I actually had no new PMs. At that point I figured it must have been some kind of a spam or worse.
