Exhaust questions

I have an 08 mustang gt and when it's warm and doesn't happen all the time but very often it pops a lot past about 4k to me. I have cherry bombs so no mufflers pretty much. Is that normal? Checked spark plug today and looked normal. Was gonna change them but they look fairly new from the previous owner. Coil pack still had fresh dielectric grease
Not having any issues at all no loss of power

Acceleration. Pops on decel are normal

Could be the fuel pump failing and you're hearing a lean pop

Any other mods on car?
Are you using a tuner?
Recent engine work?

No mods yet. No tune yet. Drove her last night til she was warm and no popping on full throttle. This only happens past 4k

Hmmm...could be running a tad lean w/those mufflers, but no CAI so it's questionable...

Was wondering if it's doing it because they're baffled mufflers? Idk.
They are rapid pops too

Mufflers have nothing to do with leaning air/fuel mixture, not even related at all.. Only long tube headers require a re-calibration tune..

Popping in the exhaust system is usually a sign of un-burned fuel in the exhaust, or (most common) an air leak in the exhaust.

My Cherry Bombs are glass packs, no baffles.

I had a lot of popping on decel and light load situations and it stopped when I swapped my plugs out. Went from HT0's to Brisk.probably not the reason why but I just never liked the strap electrode design. I did have the HT0's gapped pretty tight but the brisk are only .003 wider.
