So I have the wheels from my 03 cobra on my 05 gt. Therefore, the offset is way off so the wheels stick out alot. I would like to lower the car real soon, but I just wanted to know if anyone has done this without any rubbing. I want to do the eibach pro system plus with the pro-kit springs, but I just dont want my tires to rub. They stick out about an inch or so from the fenders, and since im not in the IRS world lol, I cant camber the rear at all to make up for this. So, any one know if there will be a major issue? Thanks.

I'm lowered on the pro-kit with 305s on a 10" 99-04 offset wheel and I don't get any rubbing. I wouldn't want to do a hard launch on the track with these but for the street they are working fine for me.

No sweat....

...with FRPP K springs that lower 1 1/2". I have 17x8 FRPP wheels for a 2003 Mustang on with no issues. You can see how they come right to the edge of the openings.

How far does that stick out for you?

I ran the 20X9 Shelby Razors on my 07 with the 99-04 offset (IIRC, 24mm), and 255 series tires, and had no tire rub. It was hella flush! LOL

I used to have 99-04 +24 FR500's and never got any rubbing. I was lowered in the pro kit and had the 18x10 in the rear with 275/35 tires.

You must be running a really wide tire on the rear, like a 295 or a 305, maybe? It looks like the sidewall is bulging a bit on the rears in the pics. Now your fronts look just right to me, almost like my old Shelby Razors. It's gonna look great lowered, but if you go with something really low like Sportlines, I'd bet you'd get some rear tire rub when the suspension compresses.

I dont know if he had decided but i thought i add my own $.2 here. I have an 06 GT with Roush 18x10s all around. I am running 275 45 18s in the front and 295 45 18s out back. I havent experienced any rubbing issue (was a big concern), i am also lowered on Eibach sportlines. I do have other suspension setup like BMR upper and lower control arms and Adjustable PHB. I really like this set up cause i have almost no ugly fender gap. Also like i said, i havent experienced any rubbing.

I have a 295/35/18 18x10 +24 offset from a 99-04. I'm ordering new wheels with a +45 offset in the rear. The front is also 99-04 but apparently there is no difference between the 99-04 and 05-09 front offsets as the front I have on now is 18x9 with a +30 offset.

That looks more like S95 wheels on an S197.

There is a difference between sn95 and s197 offset in the front. But you have to stop looking at it that way. Offset is a measurement, not chassis specific. Even for the same chassis different wheels have different offsets based on what the manufacturer designed.
