Well I'm finally done with the grinding crap out of my car. Just some cleanup and removal of Transmission and driveline. Install the doors and off to paint.

agreed on the driveshaft, I used my jack on the carrier bearing to support the majority of the weight when it disconnected and slowly lowered down while i pulled it back.

put a DSS in mine

13.6 LBS not going back on car. Will run stiff spring rates on all four corners and the thickest front seat bar I can find. Rear sway bar is bye bye.

Just want it to put a smile on my face every time I get in it.

Arnt we all! [emoji6] But why take off the rear awaybar? Are you improving the handling with stiffer springs and it's just not needed?

Yeah road course duty. Gonna be a weekend fun toy that I take to the track 4-6 times a year.

What rear spring rates are you looking to run, out of curiosity?

Probably 350 lb in rear. Not sure what I will run in front. Haven't decided on which suspension I will be running tbh. Just looking at different brands and weights ect.

Alright small update.

Been busy with the starting of my own LLC and what not. Not much has been done to car. Still ripping stuff off. Almost done with that. Suspension is stay on for now so I can roll it to the paint shop via flat bed.

Still not time frame from DOB for new intake for the 5.4L engine so I'm in absolutely no rush. Just working on it when I want to.

Starting to collect parts but I'm doing a lot of homework on each component. I only want to build and buy this one damn time!

I'm going to look up to see if there is a IRS out there that is lighter then our live axles for the S197. Seems to me that I remember a company that made one a wile back. Since a properly set up live all can out perform my driving skills it's not a must.

Bump stops come in at .7lbs. I'm not going to grind the mount off the axle tubes yet because I may replace it with a 13-14 GT500 set up.

Not deleting power steering but I will clean this up and replace what needs to be replaced to make it like new again.

Side note, those bolts are the first I actually had to break out my high impact Milwaukee for. Everything else I have used the mid torque.
