Thoughts on 3rd brake delete

Anyone on here done this? I heard about it from a friend and apparently its semi popular.

May be illegal depending on your state laws. I know in California it would be.

I think it looks great deleted.

There is a kit on the market, to move the third brake light in behind the rear window. Could clean up the look and keep it legal.

Dont remember where I saw it.

I did the delete, with a duck tail kit. I used a replacement third brake light, in the rear window, to stay legal.

I did it.
In most states its basically illegal for a light to be present and not work, meaning if its not there its not required to work...unless it is specifically part of your local inspection.
It is not the state's job to enforce federal law, it my be federally required when the car was manufactured for Ford to have put one there, however it is not required to pass inspection in most states.

Mine is deleted with the ducktail spoiler and I have the third brake at the top of the rear window. It looks a million times better and in my opinion it should've come from the factory that way.
