Finally got to the track, Been waiting for some really good air, and
got it tonight. Was hoping for mid 11's, since I've never raced with
the blower or these drag radials before. (My previous best stock with 295 street tire was a 12.74)

First pass blew right by that goal. (I'm 9244)

Second pass, even better air, but 60' suffered a bit.

So I had bought the closed air cleaner for the Phs 1 Roush kit, just
to get that tuned and setup in case I ever need to visually look CARB approved.

That air cleaner knocks boost down to 10, so figure a bit
more work on 60' and swapping air cleaners (heck, didn't even
swap out stock filter) to the open one (supposedly nets you 12 PSI),
I should get my goal of 10.9's.

Have to love how easy it is to make these cars fast.
(Only my 5th pass ever on the car and only second with mods).

Auto. I was surprised at my first pass 60' of 1.71. I
guess those TVS's really do help out with the stock
converter.

Keep on thinking I need to do something with the exh, but
how much further can you push a 14 coyote and have it live??

I'm running a 79 on e85 and no issues so far, the plan is to upgrade the short block soon.

Chevy hater? Hard to compete with the LS.

HAHA!! My coworker, has 05 CTS-V. I beat up on him when
I was stock, which wasn't hard as he can't drive and there is
something wrong with his car (he only ran 103 last time we
went to track).

So he's been looking at modding out his V, but I dumped a wrench
in his plans when I dropped that slip on his desk yesterday (didn't
tell him about blower or track runs until now).

Now he is looking at newer CTSV's, used, but still 35 grand (or more).
(I have about 37 in my car, including buying it new). I keep telling him
won't matter, as he'll be 6-800 lbs more than me. He's all flustered,
it's a riot...........

I agree, the 'ol Coyote is responsible for making the Mustang a force to be recognized. Do you have completely stock exhust? With that closed air filter box, possibly stock exhaust, I'd say you have a really cool sleeper going on. A mild stall would more than likely get you into the 10's with a low 1.6 - high 1.5 60'. I run very similarly to you in the 1/8th, I get out of the hole better, but you trap 2-3mph faster.

Nice passes on your VMP tuned setup. IMHO from personal experience its VMP that makes the package run like it does. The Roush tune that came with the Phase I package I ordered for my car was so full of nanny protection strategies that it wouldn't get out of its own way. Thanks to the boys at VMP, mine hasrun a best of 10.82@130 on a 1.6x 60ft with a 93 octane tune and an 82mm pulley and factory converter.

If I had it to do all over again I would have spent the money on a VMP setup all the way. Those guys are great to deal with.

You have plenty more in that setup. Nice going. The car has potential to go 10.5x easily. Keep up the great work. Stall converter for next spring could have you hunting 9's.
