I figured by the chef hat and the chef knife. So the skull and military knife are signs of a military man?

While I did do a stint in the Navy, the "military knife" is actually a steel (knife sharpener), and the skull represents the lifer aspect.

Those are sweet! Great work!

Idk how you all are able to get them done, I guess I'm just a wimp. lol

Some people dont like the pain, some think tattoos are stupid. For me its about the art,I'm obviously not asain...I just think the art work is great. The portraits are of my grandfather, mother and my nephew who was murdered 2 years ago so they are like a pain reliever in a way to me.

update:

got it started. i go back in two weeks to finish the coloring and everything else. the final product is going to be the shamrock cut out of my skin to reveal the knotwork underneath. im open to suggestions on the knotwork coloring. im thinking a light blue currently. the outline of the shamrock will be a dark pink/ light red to give it the fresh cut look. the lettering around it is Gaelic. it translates to "In Loving Memory of My Father"

Yeah I get ya. I'm sorry for your loss but they came out beautifully! I think the only tattoo I would get is of my husbands name on my ring finger, but thats a big IF I ever get married. Cause a name like that could be a recipe for disaster & I also hate rings. lol
