I got a GT500 strut tower brace as well, but I think everyone already knows what those look like. And I'm too lazy to get up and go take another picture and upload it and all that jazz.

I'll make this somewhat tech related with this question:

The Pypes conversion kit has 4 inch tips, correct? So I could just use that template?

Not familiar with the pypes set up but are you going to cut out a hole on the v6 bumper or get a gt one? I cut out a hole on the v6 one until I got a gt rear. But I had 3" tips.

I'm probably going to cut it for the time being.

I'm looking into the 3D Carbon lower valence or GT500/GTCS rear bumper.

sweet ! The drivers side cut out is easy. Pypes has a template, I like how it looks on ours.

What'd you cut it with?

And I can't find the dang template on Pypes' site.

I used a moto-dremel tool with a cut off wheel. But you can do it with a tile or exacto knife. Measure twice, cut once !! I put the template on, eyeballed it, measured once more, eyeballed it then marked with a sharpie. I taped completely around the cut out part so I would have a smooth edge. I cut about 1/32 big then smoothed it out with a little drum sander attachment on the dremel. Came out good. It's my wifes car so I didn't want any errors,,,,,,,

The GT take off mufflers are kinda quiet inside, she was a little dismayed at first until made her stand 10 yards behind and revved it up. The violators droned like a mutha, enough to drive you out of the car after a while. Very happy not with the sound and the look. The V6 valance doesn't have the extended lip like the GT does so the tips stick out a bit further. I like it but if it's too far for you it wouldn't be hard to cut some off the ends.

That's exactly how I "would have" done it. Lol. However, at the last minute I found a guy who would do the body work and as long as I bought the paint and found a piece for him to mold, he would do it for $50. He made the left side look IDENTICAL to the right side even with the underside piece that went inwards to prevent cracking. He said if I didn't like it I didn't have to pay but damn that guy did an amazing job. I loved it like that for about a year and a half until I got a GT rear bumper. :hi:

Nice, should be pretty loud with that setup

loud on a sixer is different than loud on a V8. I did not like the loud sound on the six. I like loud, but not drone loud. But to each his own. I'll be interested in hearing this set up on the 4.0.

There's someone on the Collective that runs this setup with an X, and he likes the sound. We'll see.

Unfortunately, I can't do it myself because I can't find access to a lift to install it, and I'm working during the week. So I have to have a shop do it. :/

You don't need a lift.

I installed my first exhaust set up when I was 16 in highschool on the ground with hand tools. Half the fun of these cars is working on them.

I know, but I can't get under the car. I'm replacing the entire Y pipe with a complete H. Believe me, if I could figure out how to get under, I would.
