So I finally got the Raxiom headlights from American Muscle.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/headlight-black-projector-0509.html

I got the non-smoked version to not hinder my light output.

You will need to order some HID kits preferably some good quality ones from The Retrofit Source. I've used cheap eBay ones in the past and they die out soon, colors don't match left to right and flickers all the time.

For the Raxiom you'll need to get the H7 kit:
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid-systems/morimoto-elite-hid-system-h7.html#.VTm-ymiCPCQ

Ford cursed is with stupid hi/lo beam H13 headlights so in order to maintain that functionality you will also need to buy this wire harness:
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...otocontrol-bi-xenon-harness.html#.VTm_EWiCPCQ

It's direct plug and play, absolutely no cutting/splicing needed and works straight out of the box.

Connect the control box to the battery and find a good ground. Then just connect the leads (all prelabeled) to the right connectors to the HID kit above.

You will need to modify the Raxiom back cover and do some wiring to make look neat:

This is how the back looks with the cover off. Top is an H1 high beam bulb and bottom is the low beam H7:

Enlarge the hole using a Dremel so you can pass through the HID bulb wires:

Also in the pic above you'll see the orange and Black wires. Those will connect to the H1 bulb. The other side is a 9006 style female connection. As seen below:

Then install the igniters to the HID bulb after you've closed it back up:

Mount the ballast to your preferred location. I just double sided to the wheel well right behind the lights:

Then plug all the connectors from the Motocontrol box and you're done!

HIDs stay on when you flick your high beams!

It got dark so no final shots but will post that up tomorrow.

Lol nobody really showed interest so I didn't bother. But I did take some pics but no cutoff pics yet.

The halos and LEDs are too weak so during daytime they can't be seen at all.

The light output is good with the projectors and gives a decent cutoff as well. Not as sharp as I would like but better than OEM HID reflectors.

Here are some pics of the light output.

This is about 3 feet away from the wall:

Something went wrong with my passenger side adjuster so I'm redoing it and going to modify it more.

So in the meantime I got these to get me by.

I see, I was really digging what you were doing there! Not that this set up isn't good, it looks bad ass too.

Very cool...what did this setup set you back, roughly?

EDIT: I clicked through the links...looks like ~ $400

EDIT 2: So this is just low beams, correct? Could you make this low and hi ?

Raxiom Headlights $207
Morimoto HID - $150
Morimoto Motocontrol - $35
Misc. Wires - $10

So yea about $400 +/-

This is just low beam HID. The high beams are standard halogen H1 bulbs. You can swap them out to be HID as well but no point really. With the HID's installed the only time would use the high beams is to flash someone.

Updated with light output.

These are 4500k bulbs which have the best combo of visibility and brightness.

Good choice man! I had a tinted set and i wasnt happy with the light output even with HID's. Unfortunately i didnt realize they were tinted when i bought them.

The setup looks good though

I actually want to tint them just slightly.

I wouldnt recommend it, the tint looked very light on the headlights I had, however it still impacted visibility quite a bit.

I moved on to the OEM HID's and they are much much better.

God damn, 400?!

Also output and cutoff wise, good projectors are much better than OEM (especially when compared to d2r setups like early 197s had)

Hi o2sys,

Quick qu. Did you bother with the 'anti flicker capacitor link' option?

Thanks

I have a set of factory HID's Ive been putting off installing for 2 years now as I dont want to spend $150+cad on the proper harness.
If I wanted to do what you did here with the 2010 style lights would it work? (I think they use a different bult and have high and low in one like factory)
