2 weekends ago my passenger door upholstery just started a bubble..I have been waiting for it as I see that is an issue with these years.

I am undecided yet as to what I will replace it with. I have looked at a few options but dont think I will go the upholstery route again.

I recently had Alan over at SOS do my pillar pod. He used my pillar for the pod install and I am very happy with the look/work/quality/price he gave me.
I also went with the drill install option with the dash pod, they have 2 versions, 1 doesn't require drilling the other does. Very happy with this company also.

Gauges are on my list in the next few months but again I can't decide which ones I want, right now Autometer elites are on my list but I am not thrilled with the (overly big buttons ) on the ones I am looking to get. I usually take a while to decide on my mods as I weigh out/plan/pro-con everything before I purchase.

Again, wheels are also on the hit list and I am undecided yet. It will either be widen the bullitts, FR boss 302s or a true forged wheel. I am still looking at other wheels but the FR 302s is my top pick atm. Weight is my concern with the OE wheels.

Weather was not cooperating this weekend but I did make progress on my ambient lighting upgrade.

I purchased a complete console w/wiring from an 08 donor car from a wrecking yard in Nebraska.Upon inspection both platic pieces upper/lower didn't meet my requirements so I wil be purchasing a new upper (300 + is what I have been finding new shipped).
I reused my lower and drilled/filed the holes for the rear leds after measuring and making a trmplate (no markings were on my lower for proper location of leds).

Wired and bench tested all console lights and all work/change colors as they should. Will need front harnesses and covers but connectors are already in place from the factory for connection. Will need to wire up front lights to console as well as illumination/pwr/grd.

Already have wires marked for connection but waiting on a 7 way connector I ordered to make it an easy removal if I need to get in there in the future.

Led lighting upgrade should be completed soon. Through hole leds came in just need surface mounts and install can start, all pieces are disassembled and awaiting swap. Wife worked for Honeywell/PCS soldering electronics as well as training others to do it. Will have a workstation set up for her to do the swap, Too small of work for me and my big claws and shaky paws aren't going to attempt it.She has worked on electronics smaller than these.

No pics this week, hopefully mother nature cooperates this weekend.

Well, this weekend was cold with snow mixed in so outside work on the car wasn't happening.

Decided to tear down the door panel material and prep for new install, as well as remove inner door handles for SHR replacements. Door material I have not decided on what I will be replacing it with at this time, I am breaking up the gray interior color as it is WAY to much gray OE. A rear seat delete is on the possible swap list but I am undecided yet.

Hope to be able to work outside next week.

Here are some pics of what I am working with. Haven't uploaded all my pics to photobucket yet and weather has not cooperated for recent photos of interior tear down.

I have never had fun doing an interior project but its always worth it because that is where you spend your time with a car.

I love that hood. How is it seeing on the right side of the road from the drivers seat? I also love the light change you did. How did you do that? Just pull the panel and start replacing bulbs with LEDs? I hate the green and this is something I would definitely consider. Do you have nighttime pictures?

Well its been a busy weekend but installs went in without any problems.

Items installed this weekend were:

Forgestar CF5V Deep 19x11 rr 19x9.5 frt Michelin Pilot SS 305/35/19 rr 265 40 19 Frt: Wheels I did in Kingston Graphite I was looking to match my DK Charcoal FR Bullitt wheels, the color is almost a perfect match with a hint more metallic in it. Color looks different with lighting/shading so the true color can only really be seen in person. The front center caps DO NOT fit as the bearing cap will not allow the cover to sit flat, a different FS cap was ordered through Vorshlag to fix this issue, Wheels were ordered through Get Your Wheels/Kickstart Motorsports.

Brenspeed Detroit Rocker Cams: ( I purchased and used the Wedge and Spring Tool to complete the install ) Pretty straight forward install, tool worked well and the #8 exhaust took the longest to do because of the limited space but not that difficult overall.

Steeda CMDP: Again easy install, new lower gaskets on plates installed as well, could not find replacement upper gaskets but car has very low miles and gaskets were in good condition,I could have reused the lowers but I prefer to replace gaskets when available. All electrical/mechanical pieces of original CMP pieces were removed as my tune allowed this.

Kooks 1 5/8" headers and Kooks Offroad H-Pipe: This install was much easier than I anticipated after reading others installs, I DID NOT remove the steering shaft or unbolt the rack (all was left in place) Drivers header was installed from the top down not bottom up as I did on the Passenger side. Only items removed were Batttery, Starter, Battery Tray, K Cross Brace, Both motor mounts and Brackets and Oil Dipstick Tube. Kooks extension harness has tabs which needed removal to plug in to the Pass side O2 (they did not line up and this is noted as possibly being required in the Kooks install guide). Very happy I spent the coin on these headers, Fit/Finish/Sound is great and extremely happy with them. ( I have series 40 Flowmasters )

Prothane Motor Mounts: Simple install while installing the headers.

Ford Racing Radiator and GT 500 Cooling Fan: Radiator is BIG and install wasn't as hard as expected, clearing the A/C lines on Drv side and wiggling it down got it in place rather quickly, A/C condensor to Radiator took more time than the actual Radiator install but again not that hard. Cooling fan fits well but the Power Steering mount is NOT correct, the lower opening does not line up for the tab and the fin on the fan housing behind the pump needs to be dremeled for proper fitment. This was the only issue I had with the install all else was bolt in.

All Radiator/Heater Hoses as well as the Coolant Pipe Assembly: Used all Ford parts and install is straightforward, I chose to break the tabs off the heater core push fittings for easier removal as access is limited.

Thermostat and Edelbrock Water Pump: New Ford thermostat and gasket used, simple install.

Shelby oil block: Used this piece for the install of my Oil Pressure gauge, the clamps that come with it DO NOT fit the power steering line ( I used a 3/8" rubber fuel line I sliced one side and slid over the Pwr Steering Line to get the correct diameter for the clamps to secure to the Power Steering Line. Simple install just a minor mod for the clamps.

Temp Gauge: Installed this with the Autometer Adapter on the rear Drivers side plug on the block. The plug for the gauge is close to the header but the way I routed the harness it shouldn't melt (this is something I will monitor as the clearance between the header and plug is minimal) I may use some form of heat shield in the future if this becomes an issue.

Ford Racing Valve Covers and Intake cover: Again another simple install, Metco fuel rail crossover needs to be routed down towards the deck for the Intake cover to be installed without interference.

SHR Oil Seperator: easy peezy install.

All of these mods took me 2 Full 8 1/2 hr days and I got her fired up after loading my Brenspeed Tune last night just as dusk was hitting, I will see how it pulls today after a few more installs. Idle was spot on, no Mil lights revs to 3k seemed ok but a test drive will reveal more. Wife played gopher while I was doing the installs with a helping hand here and there, she has helped on numerous cars we have had and saves me a bit of time with an extra set of hands.

I actually will be Dyno tuning this at the shop where Dyno Dan used to work, Carl Chastain will do the Dyno.

Paxton will be going on later this year. I have not decided if I will intercool or not as I have no plans to Forge the bottom at this time, I will limit HP/TRQ if I do not Forge the bottom. Vegas is scorching in the summer and I know intercooling will help but I am undecided.

Today will be a few more mods and then I will get some Pics loaded up.

Mods for today will be:

Ford Racing 1pc Driveshaft
Whiteline Watts link
Whiteline Rear Sway Bar
Maximum Motorsports LCA and Relocation Brackets
Ford Racing Springs and Jounce Bumpers 1" drop
Tokiko Rear Shocks

Some more pics with new wheel/tire combo. Extended center caps coming from Vorshlag as front center caps DO NOT fit correctly as they interfere with dust cap.

Iphone pics dont show the true width of tires as it shows in person.

Got the FR driveshaft installed but next month will be all suspension installs as well as the watts-link.

Wife wanted to hit the casino and dinner so I cut the installs short.

Will post up new stance pics after installs next month.

I got some Sott Drake trim for the SHR 1/4 windows but need to take them to the paint shop before install, I think it will finish off that window nicely.

And props to Dans Driveline in Las Vegas as it was the only mod I did not do myself, no noise or issues and break-in is complete. ( 3.73 gear install )
