Bumping. What are you guys running for rears? I imagine running 15" rotors with stock size rears looks silly.

When the weather gets nice I will be upgrading the rears to the '13 GT500 which are 13.8".

You don't have to pull the axles, there's a guy on ebay that sells machined caliper brackets that let you run 14" rear rotors, for $115. No axle removal required.

If you are using all OEM parts you have to pull the axles to access the caliper mount bracket and all you will need the rotors and bracket.

If you go with the billet brackets from eBay all you will need is the rotors.

I can't link from ebay right at the moment because I'm at work, if you search "mustang rear rotor adapter" it should come up.

However I just noticed the listing is not up right at the moment, I guess he must have run out of stock (I had them on my watch list). I know the guy that lists those makes them so they should be back on there at some point.

So I'm curious, what wheels are people using with these that they actually work?

Here they are mounted on my car with GT500 rotors. The face of the caliper sticks out almost as far as the hub. I would need at least 1" spacers to make these work with the wheels I have. I see now why the S550 have those deep offset rotors.

I just ordered some rebuilt Brembos, gonna have to try those instead and see if I can sell these.

Those look like they have a very deep center section, I guess that's what you need to clear these ginormous calipers.

can you take a straight edge, and measure how far the calipers stick out from that surface?

yea where the wheel mates against. also how far is the face of the caliper from the center of the hub, Primarily the higher surfaces that would come in contact with the spokes from wheels

I'll see if I can get you something tonight. I will say, the caliper body is VERY close to the wheel mounting surface.

FWIW, when I did a test fit of these on my 07 last year, the Steeda 18" wheels I had needed small spacers to clear. The same wheels fit fine over the S197 Brembos that were already on the car.

I measured it earlier-

From the face of the hub to the face of the caliper is 2" (measuring outward)

From the center of the hub to the nearest part of the caliper is 3 3/8"

Center of the hub to the fattest part of the caliper (the nearest edge of the face, essentially) is about 4 1/2".

thanks, now we can all have a basis to measure our wheel's to see if they will fit without spacers, or minimal spacer needed.
