Been a few times I have seen mustang carnage pics and not a really good way to share.

So if you see a mustang carnage pic that stands out in a WTF! kind of way, post it up!

Saw this over on SVTP, guy trying to trouble shoot fuel issue. Zero gap on the plug. The detonation divots are impressive!

Here is one of mine from a previous stang... Valve spring broke, dropped the valve in to the cylinder, broke off valve stem, and shot the valve back through the hole it came from in the head. It really F'ed the head and piston up but gave me the opportunity take a 1973 2 barrel 351 Cleveland and turn it in to a .10 bored 4 barrel Boss 351 motor so in the end all was good.

When fuel pump filter socks go bad and drive up your FPDC to 100% at 4,000 rpm (my car):

What the heck is inside the filter? Looks like potato chips or some kind of buildup?

The filters themselves disintegrated. I bought the '07 GT500 in 2012 with 300 miles on it. Apparently it was the same tank of gas from the dealer, and it just sat there in a guy's garage for 5 1/2 years. The tank was full of gooey shit too. Had to replace everything - pumps, socks, lines, tank, etc.

...so you're saying this is likely what Darren's fuel filter looks like?

Not a Mustang but it's current carnage, just installed a rebuilt turbo on my sons 2000 ZX3 and found out that the boost line was previously mis-routed so an engine that was solid for ten years at 8-10psi got spiked to 15psi on the first test hit.

No issues with the old worn out turbo but with one that actually works?

The result was two snapped rods and five holes in the engine.

Wish I still had the pictures from my neon clutch. I was doing a second gear pull, and when I shifted to 3rd, it spun on a bridge gap, while spraying, all the way across the bridge, and then I hit a bit of grippy pavement on the other side. The immediate abundance of grip vs the high speed of the rotating bits sheared all 4 of the tabs of the clutch between the center section and the bit that holds the clutch material. I stopped running stupid grippy tires on that car after that.

This is from my (former) Yamaha ski after its best top speed season. Ski ran perfect, compression was perfect. I only discovered this when I went in to re-ring it. Chunk must have blown out the exhaust. You can see where the ring hung in the exhaust port, pushed up on the ring land, which caused the middle ring land to break.
