First thing I do when there is an issue is change the plugs...

I must have 15 sets that may or not be good. Lol

well it wasnt the plugs, though it seems to be running a bit better

Thanks. I had tried that, but I also had a separate issue with a missing coil wire capacitor/resistor. The symptoms seem to be the same, though.

The store didn't have Motorcraft in stock, so I took a chance with a set of NTKs. Now that I have the capacitor/resistor back in, I'm putting the motorcrafts back in.

I'll probably start a new thread here in a few.

so i swapped the front o2 sensors and cleared the 2196 code to see if the sensor was bad. still got the same code. im guessing my next step is to try and get lito to check out a data log and see if there is something in the tune

Having a similar issue right now. I got both P2196 & P2198. AFR shows full rich 10.0.

You fixed yours by putting new front o2 sensors? But you said you tried this, cleared the codes and still got the same code? You mean you swapped the left and right?
