My first track day was yesterday at NJMP with Hooked On Driving..
picked up a set of hoosier continentals scrubs .. I love the price on theses 275 x 35 x 18 mounted on american wheels .. best bag for the buck wheels out there, and look killer too 18 x 10 all round

Day went good till the shifter messed with my day basically could only get up to 3 gear and had to drive the track that way for the full session .. after 3 sessions that way I called it quits but the car performed great despite having 113 on the clock and running at 6200 Rpm most of the day in third..
Arrived at mellville NJ the day before

Assuming he's not a rookie.

And... STRIPES.

I have the paralysis of analysis on wheel / tire setups and the OP just waves a wand and has a setup on used slicks. I need to get off the fence.

That was my thought exactly! Then I noticed that he said back on track.

Cool car, OP. I hope to make my car a dedicated track car within the next couple of years. Having a dual purpose/track car/DD blows.

Great job on the car. Everything flows together visually. I'm in the same boat as TGR96 but hope to move in same direction in the near future. Minus the shifter issue, how did everything else perform? How was the setup? Don't be afraid to share vids and pics. :)

Did you run on Sunday at all? I'm trying to remember if I saw your car.

I was over on Lightning on Saturday but did Sunday only with HOD.
