Oil change

I have a 2005 V6 mustang and had a question about the oil filter, Currently the oil filter on there from the shop is a Motorcraft FL500S but every where i look it says i need a FL820S. The 820S looks too big in diameter to fit.. Any advice?

FL820S is what I use on my 4.0

My 2014 3.7L uses the FL500S.

Nothing in the manual regarding oil filter, I've looked. I wonder if the size difference would cause any issues, I haven't noticed anything.

look again... I even gave you the page number...... maintenance parts are near always listed in the manual.......
