Default Pypes Mid Muffler?

I think I just screwed up. I just bought the pypes mid muffler kit and I am not sure if I am going to be happy or not. I have bbk lts and o/r x pipe. My current mufflers are the flowmaster 10 series. They sound like SHIT! I am hoping that the mid muffler kit will be more quite and not sound so, well, SHITTY! Someone chime in here and make me fell better or tell me how I just screwed up and should send it back.

i have a friend that has them on his car with an O/R h and it is to loud for me it is like one step below straight pipes. i am running the stock mufflers with an O/R h and i think it is just rite as far as the sound it is not to loud till you want it to be. the problem i see with the pypes is i think you have to take out the mid pypes and put in there parts and i dont think you can get them off with out the car being on a lift or cutting them.

i have been thinking about trying different mufflers but it is to hard to find the rite sound and it is not cheap.

i love my exhaust setup which consists of bassani X with hi flow cats and the pypes mid muffler system. I did not have to cut anything to get the stock pipes out although it is a pain. I used floor jacks too.

I have the stock H with the Pypes mid kit and it sounds killer. With no cats it would be too loud. IMO.

lol......you bought a mid muffler kit in hopes of making it quiter?? sorry for making fun but the car wont be any quiter with the mid mufflers, it may make it sound better but if anything it will be louder. i had the mid mufflers and O/R exhaust before i went turbo, i could drive by a cow pasture and rev it up if i wanted to see a stampede. i loved the sound but it was even a little too loud for me and i didnt have LT's. now that i have the turbo the mid mufflers are perfect IMO.

you may want to try adding resonators to your current set up, a buddy (chris07gt) had that similar "shitty" sound and took his car to a local exhaust shop, had them add resonators and he loves it now.he is using flowmasters and he has a O/R H-pipe.

I currently have the mid muffler system and o/r x-pipe and it's much quieter than the o/r x-pipe with mac axle back for what that's worth. Be prepared for fitment issues, I was but I'm happy with the sound and it gets many compliments just as the mac's did.

Same setup here, I love the sound, but it's a bitch to get apart.

Thanks guys for the quick comments. If all else fails I will switch to the bbk high flow catted x pipe. Trust me I will post some sound clips before and after. I am almost to the point that anything has to be better than the flowmaster 10 series race mufflers I have now.

i have BBK LT's and o/r x pipe, MBRP deletes, and M80's welded in. basically the same setup. i like it. it is loud, deep, but not too loud when just cruising. it is just a step down from straight pipes bc thats what i had before this setup, lol. heres what it sounds like.
