JDM Engineering is proud to release a new line of short blocks designed to beef up and increase cubic inch displacement for naturally aspirated or low boost 4.6 modular applications. The new Team JDM bottom end comes completely assembled with forged components and is ready to handle up to 600 HP. A Ford Racing 4.6 Aluminum block from the 03-04 Mach 1 Mustang is used to house the forged rotating components. Kellogg’s 3.800” steel forged stroker crank rotates the Manley H beam rods and custom spec pistons. Compression ratio comes standard at 9.8:1 but for no additional charge, only wait time, Team JDM will build any compression you choose. Special Manley file fit rings and Speed pro NASCAR bearings help keep plenty enough oil pressure for the extra demand of 3v engines, as well promote extra pressure in 2v or 4v applications. Every short block is inspected, balanced, and assembled in house at JDM Engineering which limits delay time and keeps build quality to the highest standard. Each motor comes with a 1 year no detonation warranty and when properly taken care of, will last you a lifetime.

This same rotating group is used in our 302 E stroker short blocks however with a 05+ Mustang block which is a stronger casting that handles up to 900 HP. If your looking for a short block that will handle more than 600 HP the 302E motor is the way to go and we can help you get a great deal on that as well. Please contact a sales associate today for any questions or details about these or any Team JDM engine!

Thank you,

How many of these do you have in stock? I'm selling my motorcycle and already have interest. If it sells i'm buying a block. This would be perfect for my turbo! Pm me please!

Thanks for thinking of us hurt by this economy JDM. I'm lacking big funds and can't afford my setup of choice.
Hope these are quality built and I'm sure you will have a ton of orders.

Jim, if I were to want the stronger block, what would those run price wise and what compression would you recommend for no more than 16lb turbo on pump?

Id run 9.5:1 as high as stock, 9.8:1 even. Call me sometime when you get a chance and we can discuss price on a 302E shortblock 900 HP rated. 732-780-0770

I think the difference between the 9.2 and 9.8 is not much however even with the lower compression you could turn up the boost a lb or two and make up for the power loss.

We would use a factory 05+ Mustang block instead of the one we are using here. That is our JDM 302E stroker shortblock which we have been selling for a while here now. These are $4295. The difference in these blocks is ONLY the block. Everything else is the same.

Did you guys change the piston in the 302E's from CP to Manley ? My 302E has CP. (Saleen surplus rotating assembly iirc). You have Manley pistons mentioned for the EF

Oh btw...Bad ass deal here folks...

We are now using Manley for the pistons in both engines, we are getting our first couple of sets in this week. Manley prior to this did not have a 302 piston. We worked with them to design one and can now offer them cheaper and in a wider range of compression ratio by changing the dish of the piston. We are 15 minutes from Manley so its nice to work so close with them!

would be nice, but just spending 2k on a 6060 swap it just isn't going to happen. as long as my stock shortblock holds up it will be a few years at least.

im gonna send this link to my buddy with an 2004 mach 1

thanks, this is perfect for those cars, we have sold a few to some Mach 1 guys already.

Also this shortblock works great on S197 cars just at or under 600 HP!!

hey jim, thought the stock S197 crank is good for around 600. what would be the benifit of using a forged crank if staying around 600
