Well best pass so far has been a 11.01 at 129 on the street tune. I have stuggled with the short times at the track with the 4r70w and have seen a lot of 1.7 and 1.9 60 ft times with traction issues here and there. I also have been crossing the traps in the 5800-6000 range. I have installed some 4:10 gears and put the 3:73s on the self for now. I am looking for some new 20" DRs as we speak and am leaning towards the NT05s this time. I hope they dont rub, they are a little bigger then the 555 DRs I have now. These are what I am looking at for my new street tire.

What do you think?

Good times but you can do better. I'm running 315/35/20 invos on my car and they don't rub with bmr springs in the rear. Hope that helps.

I would probably do the NT05R myself. I don't know if it was just a bad set of MT tires or not, but my last set of 325/50/15 MT drag radials were garbage.

Those nittos r exactly what I have for a street tire. As for a 20 inch dr I think that's as good as they come.

Thanks, on my combo I think those would hit with those wheels. , I would think, I have a bit more clearance though and I ordered them tonight.

If they give me any issues, I have already been looking into widening the wheels to 11-12" from the 10" I have now. I am leaning towards these tires with a 11" wheel but, am going to start clearing some room for the 15" race wheels and I think a 12" may clear with some work. I want to be able to run the biggest DR possible when the 15" wheels are needed. I think the 315 is the widest dr for the 20s though. Thanks for the pics!

I have got to do the same, mine is lifting, and I don't like it..lol

1" 3M tape with the correct 3M primer will never lift. Get some and never look back. I use it daily at work. If this stuff can hold thousands of pounds together on the side of a buildings with the right system, it can hold a rear wing on a car ar 150 mph.

Oh yea it will for sure hold. From the factory Roush must not have taped that area of the wing only the rear section, I would think the way it looks on mine anyway.

New DRs are here! I will mount them in the AM and head to the track for some passes. Man, you really don't realize how bad your DRs are till there is a new set next to them. I bought the 555r drs in 08'. LOL

New 4:10 gears from the 3:73s and new rubber that is 3/4" wider and a 1/2" taller. I cant wait!

I'm willing to bet your times suddenly improve, lol. The compound on drag tires usually hardens somewhat after 18 months or so. Slicks are worse about hardening. Good luck man.

I sure hope I can get out there and run with you guys sometime soon. I'm still 2-3 months from having my car ready.
