Got these in the mail yesterday - ARP 4.6L 3-Valve Head Studs, 256-4202 (Thanks to ILW84U)

Glad they arrived OK. A little too much tape to get through? LOL. I wanted to make sure there was no shipping damage.

If you decide to uprgrade to a return style fuel system, give me a shout. Good luck with the build.

Where did you pick up those new heads? I just searched real quick and found them for $2,960 through Ford Racing Parts Direct. What made you want to switch to those? The upgraded intake and exhaust valves, plus the 20 CFM increase in the intake flow?

Rick, came fine and you did an excellent job on the packaging! I will absolutely give you a shout if a return style fuel system is in my future. Thanks!

I got them at a great price through another forum from a guy that changed his build plans. They were in "open box, but new condition".

You are definately not playing around!!

I am having too much fun, so I must be playing around! Making good progress on collecting the parts for the build and getting to the point where it will actually be time to roll up the sleeves and get my hands dirty. Clearly I will not be breaking any speed records on the build as I am retired, inflicted with arthritis in the knees, left hip and lower back (the back is the killer). Not to mention my garage is not heated. But I am like the rest of us and love tinkering on our cars and that is what keeps us in the game.

I would love to see some track numbers as well, unfortunately I think it would be in my best interests to let someone 30+ years younger have that fun. I have not spoken to him yet, but even though it is an auto car, I was thinking about asking Matt D if he would make a few passes in the car for me.

Scott, you're never to old to have fun at the track. Pedal to metal & let her rip!

I drove this 1965 Comet Caliente with a 70 Boss 302 engine in NHRA Modified Production in the early 70’s when I was in high school/college. Ran low 11’s carbureted on gasoline. I gave up the driving chores to my partner as by far my enjoyment came from the building.

Gotcha man, I can't agree but I understand lol.
Just makes me sad knowing a car built that awesome suffers a non-race fate.
But to each their own of course, it will definitely be awesome to follow the progress on here.

good luck with everything!

Scott I would be honoured to make some of the first passes. As long as you jump in the driver seat after we get it all set up :beerchug2:

I know you still have the drag racing blood in ya, you were drag racing when they didn't print time slips :thumb2:
