I was just about to buy this one and thought I'd ask (since it's $172.05 after shipping... pretty high) what you guys are using?

The thing I like about this one is it's low profile with a 2 5/8" minimum height so I wouldn't think I'd have a problem getting it under the K after my 1.5" drop on BMR springs.

Also I like that it lifts it up about 24 inches (23 3/4).

Wondering if there's any better (or cheaper) deals out there for a low profile with a 24" lift? I really expected to spend around $100, but I want room to work this time around and IMO a 2' lift shouldn't be too much to aim for.

I just drive the car up on 2x8's and use the low profile jack I already have. Not ideal but beats spending a bunch of money.

I agree with retfr8flyr and get a quality jack. I have a 3 ton craftsman and I roll up on to 2x4s but at least I feel safe crawling under there to put jack stands under it.

i have this. im not constantly jacking the car up multiple times a day, so i trust this to get the job done. i only need it up long enough to reach under with a jack stand anyway. i also have 6 jack stands (bought them deep discount at a closing r&s strauss) so i can position and reposition them easily.

OP... I asked this question earlier in the year and got a lot of good feedback. I ended up getting the one you have in your initial post and could not be happier so far.

A couple of nice features...

"T" handle. Never had one before, and boy am I glad I have it now. I like it because the handle is pretty long and it is more comfortable for me to us the "T" part of the handle than the traditional pipe. It allows me to get the jack positioned a bit easier.

Also, the handle has a separate controller/knob, 1/3rd turn lock for pumping up, and a slow to rapid release unlock. It is far superior to the entire pipe being the one that released the pressure.

I also really dig the throat. It allows me to hit all the areas I prefer to lift our lowered stang at. Instead of spots the 3 ton jack can only reach.

We got our on sale for $129

Some people have had good luck with harbor freight. I definitely have not. When my costco arcan wears out I'll either buy another one of those or upgrade to something more expensive yet.

Are you lowered at all? I'm doing a 1.5" drop and I'm curious if that jack will get under the front of the car to lift up both sides at once. Glad to hear positive feedback for it. Looking at others, you can't get a 24" lift for that price anywhere else.

I've been trying to find coupon codes but none will work for that jack on harbor freight. It's $172.05 after $10 tax and around $20+ shipping. I'll probably just have to buy it today, I need to get a jack on the way. I have so many suspension parts and now a catback exhaust sitting here that I can't even put on because my jack broke lol

The issue that I have with jacks, even the low profile ones is not whether the saddle will fit under the k member but whether the back portion of the jack will be short enough to slide under the front valance so the saddle can make it under the k member. With my low profile jack I still need 3" ramps.

Arcan xl35, best jack imo. Can get it on ebay or northern tool for 130. Had 2 pittsburgh jacks fail this week on me.

i use this at the track when i install slicks.
it is very light, easy to move around and doesn't take up much room in the car.
i see a LOT of other racers have the same jack.

at home working on the car i use the steel HF 3 ton jack.
